Batch Type Peanut Coating Machine Working Principle

The batch-type peanut coating machine relies on rotary tumbling + spray coating + hot air drying to achieve uniform coating on peanuts in batches.

Core Components

  • Rotary drum/pan: Inclined stainless steel drum with internal paddles/baffles.
  • Spraying system: Nozzles + air compressor for liquid/syrup coating; powder dispenser for dry coating.
  • Drying system: Hot air blower + heater (electric/gas).
  • Control panel: Adjusts drum speed, spray rate, temperature, and airflow.
  • Frame & drive: Motor + reducer for stable rotation.

Working Process (Batch Cycle)

  1. Feeding

Load raw peanuts (roasted/dried) into the drum; batch capacity: 2–50 kg.
  2. Tumbling & Mixing

Drum rotates at 10–30 rpm (adjustable); internal paddles lift and cascade peanuts, creating 3D tumbling motion for even exposure.
  3. Coating Application
    • Liquid coating (syrup/honey/chocolate): Nozzles atomize liquid into fine mist, spraying evenly on tumbling peanuts.
    • Powder coating (flour/spice): Dry powder is dispersed; peanut collision adheres powder to surfaces.

  4. Adhesion & Layer Building

Continuous tumbling makes peanuts collide and rub, forming a uniform thin coating; repeated spray-tumble cycles build desired thickness.
  5. Drying & Solidification

Hot air (40–80°C) blows into the drum, removing moisture, drying the coating, and preventing sticking; airflow strips excess coating.
  6. Discharging

Stop rotation, tilt the drum, and discharge finished coated peanuts; ready for packaging or secondary processing.

Key Working Mechanism

  • Centrifugal force + gravity: Drives peanuts to cascade and tumble, ensuring all sides contact coating.
  • Atomization + diffusion: Spray nozzles break liquid into micro-droplets for full coverage.
  • Hot air convection: Accelerates moisture evaporation, solidifies the coating, and improves crispness.

Main Features

  • Batch operation: One cycle completes coating; easy recipe change for small-batch production.
  • Uniform coating: Tumbling + spray ensures consistent thickness, no clumping.
  • Versatility: Suitable for peanuts, nuts, pills; applies sugar, honey, chocolate, spice, and flour coatings.
  • Food-grade: Stainless steel contact parts, easy cleaning.

In short, the machine uses mechanical tumbling to evenly expose peanuts, spray to apply coating, and hot air to dry and set, achieving high-quality coated peanuts in batches.
