Global Solutions for the Food Industry

Our Kurkure Extruder Machine is a specialized friction extrusion system designed to produce high-quality, crispy Kurkure (also known as corn curls, Cheetos, Nik Naks, or twisties) from corn grits/maize grits. This fully automatic line integrates mixing, extrusion, shaping, cutting, frying/baking, deoiling, seasoning, and cooling into a seamless, one-pass operation—ideal for small to large-scale snack manufacturers. Built with food-grade stainless steel 304 and advanced rotary head extrusion technology, our Kurkure machine delivers consistent texture, uniform crunch, and authentic taste in every batch. It supports both fried type (traditional crispy Kurkure) and baked type (low-fat, healthy Kurkure) to meet diverse market demands.

Key Features

✅ Rotary Head Friction Extrusion System – Core technology: High-speed screw between brass plates generates friction heat to melt corn grits instantly, forming irregular twisted curls (signature Kurkure shape). – Precise die & cutter design for adjustable length (20–100 mm) and uniform shaping.
✅ Food-Grade Hygiene & Durability – All contact parts: Stainless steel 304 (corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, meets food safety standards). – Heavy-duty alloy steel screw & barrel for long-term, wear-resistant operation.
✅ Fully Automatic & User-Friendly Operation – PLC control system (Siemens/FUJI/LG components) with touchscreen panel for one-click start/stop, parameter adjustment, and fault alarm. – Automatic feeding, mixing, extrusion, cutting, frying/baking, seasoning, and cooling—minimal manual labor required. – Frequency conversion speed regulation for flexible output control.
✅ High Production Capacity & Efficiency – Output range: 100–250 kg/h (models: 65/70/85 available). – Low energy consumption: 65–85 kW (depending on model). – Continuous 24-hour operation with stable performance and low downtime.
✅ Versatile Product Compatibility – Raw materials: Corn grits, maize, rice flour, or blended grains. – Products: Kurkure, corn curls, Cheetos, Nik Naks, cheese balls, fryums, and other twisted extruded snacks. – Customizable molds for different shapes (twisted, straight, ring) and sizes.
✅ Two Production Options (Fried / Baked) – Fried Type: Mixing → Extrusion → Frying → Deoiling → Seasoning → Cooling (classic crispy texture, rich flavor adhesion). – Baked Type: Mixing → Extrusion → Baking → Seasoning → Cooling (low oil, healthy, light crunch, cost-saving).

Production Process Flow

Fried Kurkure Line:

1. Mixing: Corn grits + water (precise ratio) mixed evenly. 2. Screw Conveying: Automatic feeding to extruder. 3. Rotary Extrusion: Friction heat melts grits into twisted curls, cut to length. 4. Vibrating Sifting: Remove unshaped particles to protect frying oil. 5. Continuous Frying: 160–180°C oil frying for crispness. 6. Vibrating Deoiling: Remove excess oil. 7. Seasoning: Even flavor coating (spicy, cheese, tangy, etc.). 8. Cooling & Packaging: Cool down and pack for storage.

Baked Kurkure Line:

Replace Frying + Deoiling with Hot Air Drying (120–150°C); other steps same as fried line.

Applications

– Snack Manufacturing Plants: Mass production of Kurkure, corn curls, Cheetos, Nik Naks. – Food Processing Factories: Small/medium-scale snack production (low investment, high return). – Start-up Businesses: Turnkey solution for entering the extruded snack market. – Custom Snack Producers: Develop unique flavors/shapes for regional or niche markets.
