The twin screw extruder is equipped with two parallel, intermeshing screws rotating simultaneously inside a closed barrel.
Raw materials such as plastic pellets, powder, additives or compound materials are fed into the barrel from the feeding hopper. With the continuous rotation of the twin screws, materials are forced to move forward steadily.
During transportation, the combined effect of external heating from the barrel and strong shear, friction and compression generated by screw rotation melts the solid materials into uniform molten state.
Different screw elements and kneading blocks cut, fold, mix and renew the material continuously. This unique intermeshing structure realizes high-efficiency homogenization, modification, filling and blending of raw materials.
After full plasticization and mixing, the molten compound is extruded through the die head under stable pressure. Finally, the material is cooled, shaped and pelletized for finished production.
Core Advantages Principle
- Self-cleaning FunctionTwo screws wipe each other during operation, avoiding material accumulation and carbonization, easy color and material replacement.
- Forced ConveyingNo material slipping, suitable for high filling powder, lightweight materials and high-viscosity compounds.
- Uniform Residence TimeMaterials will not stay overheated, effectively preventing decomposition and deterioration.
- Modular CombinationScrew segments can be freely combined to adjust mixing strength for different production demands.
