Brief introduction
The core filling twin screw extruder production line is a professional co-extrusion food processing equipment specially designed for hollow puffed snacks with centre filling. Different from single extrusion machines, this production line completes outer grain puffing and inner cream/ sauce filling synchronously through a twin-screw host and independent quantitative filling system.
The whole production process from raw material mixing, extrusion puffing, core injection, cutting shaping, drying, seasoning to finished product packaging is fully automated. The equipment can produce diversified filled snacks by replacing molds and adjusting formulas, which is the ideal equipment for medium and large snack food factories.Working Principle & Production Process
Working Principle
Grain raw materials such as rice flour, corn flour and wheat flour are mixed evenly with water and transported to the twin-screw extruder. After high-temperature and high-pressure puffing, uniform hollow puffed tube blanks are formed. At the same time, the precision quantitative core filler injects cream, chocolate paste, peanut butter, salad dressing and other fillings into the center of the hollow tube synchronously. After sealing, cutting, drying and flavoring, the final crisp and delicious core-filled puffed snacks are formed.

Complete Machine Configuration
- Automatic Mixer: Mix flour, grain powder and water evenly with variable frequency speed regulation, stable mixing effect, no agglomeration, supporting continuous feeding.
- Spiral Feeding Conveyor: Automatically transport mixed raw materials to the extruder hopper, save labor and ensure uniform feeding volume.
- Twin Screw Extruder Host: Adopt modular screw design and multi-stage independent temperature control system (80-180°C adjustable). The screw runs stably, the puffed tube wall is uniform, and the forming stability is high.
- Precision Core Filling Machine: Equipped with constant temperature heat preservation system and quantitative frequency conversion metering pump. Realize synchronous filling with extrusion host, filling ratio 10%-30% adjustable, filling accuracy ±1%, no leakage and no eccentric core.
- High-speed Cutting Machine: Synchronous frequency conversion cutting, product length 10-100mm adjustable. Support open mouth and sealing molding to meet different product needs.
- Multi-layer Drying Oven: 3-5 layers hot air circulation drying, temperature 80-120°C adjustable. Uniformly dehydrate and cure snacks, control finished product moisture at 8%-12% to ensure crisp taste.
- Seasoning & Oil Coating Machine: Drum-type uniform oil spraying and powder coating, evenly attach sugar powder, salt, cheese powder, chili powder and other seasonings.
- Cooling Conveyor: Natural air cooling to reduce product temperature, avoid adhesion, and keep product shape intact.
- Automatic Packaging Machine: Match pillow packaging or nitrogen-filled packaging to extend product shelf life.

Common Troubleshooting
- Filling Leakage: Mismatch between filling pressure and extrusion speed → Adjust synchronous frequency conversion parameters to match host running speed.
- Eccentric Core: Deviation of die concentricity → Calibrate the coaxiality of die head and filling nozzle.
- Hard Finished Product: Excessive moisture or insufficient baking → Properly increase baking temperature or extend drying time.
- Filling Blockage: Low temperature of filling system → Adjust the constant temperature of filling machine to keep filling fluid smooth.
